Thirty Years of Theatre History –
at Your Fingertips!
You can now find and order the reviews for any production in Theatre Record’s thirty years of publication - online
Since 1981, Theatre Record has been reprinting and publishing the complete and unabridged reviews of all the major national daily and weekly theatre critics, plus full production credits, for every show that opens in London’s West End and on the Fringe, with the most significant regional productions (including Stratford, Chichester and the Edinburgh Festival) added since 1983.
Over the years, Westminster Reference Library has kept a running index to these productions, which we are now pleased to make available to Record readers and the theatregoing public through our website. This means that when you enter or download this (very large) running file (which will be updated regularly) you can search it for a particular production by title, author, presenting company and theatre. Given the year and page reference that appears on the database, we can send you the complete reviews of that show, in paper or electronic form. The cost of this service is £7.50 including delivery. You can order on our website.
We are very grateful to the Westminster Reference Library both for their diligent work in compiling the index and for allowing us to make it available in this form to a wider public. You can consult the full thirty-plus years’ run of Theatre Record at the library, 35 St Martin's Street, London WC2H 7HP (just off Leicester Square).
